Israel Fried was a Senior
Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s
office in Brooklyn for seven years and was responsible for: investigating
and prosecuting major crimes. He has conducted numerous pre-trial hearings
and has tried over twenty (20) felony and misdemeanor bench and jury
trials to verdict with a 90% conviction rate. He was also responsible for
supervising junior Assistant District Attorney’s in the Early Case
Assessment Bureau; conducting training seminars for new ADAs and law
enforcement personnel; and attending State and Federal Prosecutors
training clinics.
He is a Board member and Mentor with Project Extreme not-for-profit
Organization in New York, involved in the creation, development and
operation of innovative programming for at-risk youth in the Jewish
Community which includes: Summer
wilderness programs; extreme sports and therapy; weekend and major Jewish
Holiday therapeutic retreats, which focus on the development of the intra
and interpersonal skills of our at-risk youth in the community with
continuous hands-on follow up with participants and their families as well
as placement in appropriate facilities when necessary; conducting formal
and informal town hall meetings and seminars for community members to
receive information, network and discuss issues as well as developing a
full time year round therapeutic boarding school which involves grant
writing and meeting with various non-for profit organizations and their
Board of Directors.
Has also been a guest lecturer and prepared Brooklyn Law School
Moot Court team on trial advocacy and strategies for upcoming Moot Court
competition by conducting mock trials which included: opening and closing
statements, direct and cross examinations, proper foundation for the
introduction of evidence and proper use of objections. Team advanced to
final round. |
